This is a type of post I’ve never really done before, but I really want to try some new things! So in this post I’m going to list 5 reasons why I’m proud of myself. I came up with the idea for this post because I realised I’m always bringing myself down, rather than appreciating how far I’ve come. So this is a self-appreciation post, a bit of self love!
- For My Academic Achievements.
Although I don’t have the most amazing grades in the world, I’m really proud of how hard I pushed myself to work for my grades and the end outcome. I know so many people say they don’t matter and, even if I don’t end up using them in the future, they still matter to me and make me proud of myself!
2. For Being Stubborn and Ambitious And Determining My Own Future.
I am stubborn but sometimes it does pay off for me! A lot of people told me not to go to uni and that it was too hard and I wouldn’t be able to cope ect, so I’m proud of me for choosing what I wanted to do!
3. For Improving My Own Confidence, Massively.
In the last few years I feel like my confidence has grown massively from where it was knocked down to. I’m happy with myself now and, whilst I still wouldn’t declare to be a confident person, I have improved a lot and I’m proud.
4. For Letting Myself Be Loved.
As I said above, a few years ago my confidence was just in absolute shreds. I’ve built it up now and opened myself up to so many new people, and have even improved my relationship with my boyfriend by allowing myself to believe he loves me.
5. For Proving People Wrong.
I had a shit time around 5 years ago at school, I’m not going to beat around the bush. But I have come back better and stronger and have proved so many people wrong, and after everything I’ve been through I’m very proud of myself.
Although it may seem like gloating at first, appreciating yourself is a massive factor in feeling self-actualised in life. Allow yourself to think of 5 things you’re proud of yourself for, and if you want to write them in the comments or maybe even do your own blog post!
