10 Things You'll Know If You Live With A Blogger

Hello there! This post has spurred from a conversation that I had recently, about all of the funny things that bloggers do for content. So, I thought it would be a fun idea to write a list of all of the funny things that you’ll only know if you live with a blogger.
1. You HAVE to have a photographable space in your house
Floor, wall, hallway, there HAS to be somewhere for those flatlays to lie! And, if there isn’t a space already available, we’ll create one! I’ve seen some bloggers using wallpaper samples, buying boards to cover with cute wrapping paper, and some even painting walls just so they fit with their insta themes! Commitment.

2. Inspiration strikes at the most inconvenient times
5 am and dreamt up a blog post? That HAS to go into my notebook before I forget! Blogging is not only a full time job, it’s a full time job that we can do at any time in any place, so don’t think a little thing like sleep will get in the way of that!
3. Friday is #ff day
Prepare to hear the non-stop beeping of the twitter notification with tweets, likes and retweets and replies!

4. Emails also come at some inconvenient times
Some brands are located within different timezones, eg America. That’s why my phone is buzzing at 3am!
5. The bed can be our office
As I said, blogging is a full time job that can be done anywhere at any time. So yes, I know when you left for work this morning I was in this exact same position in these exact same clothes in this exact same bed, but I PROMISE I have worked hard today.

6. The day that our DA updates is basically like results day
There can be screaming, jumping or severe upset. DA means a lot to us, we’ve worked hard for that number. So, even if you don’t know what it means, just play along!
7. You know the lingo
Words like SEO, gram, wordpress, disquis, press pack, nofollow link and lovely all become a massive part of our vocabulary, so you definitely learn what they mean pretty quick!

8. Outings purely for cute photos ARE a thing
And YES, you can become our personal paparazzi for the day ;).
9. White sheets are a MUST
I’ve literally never owned a white sheet in my life because I am so clumsy, but even I’m considering making the switch for the gram…

10. Twitter drama is also, unfortunately, a thing
And we may need you to comfort us whilst we sob because someone we don’t know has decided to dislike us. Twitter can be the happiest or the loneliest place in the world, but it’s also one of the best platforms for blog traffic so we will still use it anyway!

What does twitter say?
I asked for a few ideas for this post on twitter, and I received so many that made me giggle!
“Everything needs photographing before being eaten/drunk”. @SunshineSarahxo
“Props. Props everywhere!” @bellaa_inizio
“Rose gold and white marble everything.” @chloemtommo
“Natural lighting is vital!” @JerseyGirl1216
“Be available to accompany to events as a photographer/bag holder.” @SunshineSarahxo
“There’s always a bundle of wallpaper/flooring samples hidden in the corner of the room.” @EyelinerFlicks
“Keeping empty products ready to do empties posts!” @astoldby_sophie
“One SD card is never enough, and big windows are the dream!” @CosmeticBlogger
“Someone must be in all day to collect parcels!” @SunshineSarahxo
“The joy of being invited to be their +1 at blogger events!” @AbbeyLouisaRose
“The power of white poster board, and what SEO stands for!” @rinkydinklife

Thank you for reading this post, I hope it gave you a giggle! Do you have anything else to add to the list? Let me know in the comments!
Love,
H x

I’m a new blogger, and I’m just starting to realize how true these things are! I have to continuously remind myself about #ff and make sure I have good photos before I post a blog! It’s both fun and overwhelming at times!

I love this post! My bed is my blog office far too frequently haha! I definitely need to set up a space for photographs in my new student room in Leicester, I’m PRAYING for good natural light!! My last uni room had a black desk which was just awful for pictures so keep your fingers crossed for me haha! Thanks for including my tweet too!

I completely agree with these, especially the photo ones! I love to have a nice space to take blog photos. I’ve moved house recently and I need to create a photo taking station again!
